SOS Florida Welcomes New CEO

Coconut Creek, FL – The board of directors, staff and children of SOS Children’s Villages - Florida are pleased to welcome new Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Keith G. DuVernay to their family.

The Village has helped raise more than 350 foster children over the past two decades. Successfully navigating the challenges of maintaining aging homes as well as expanding the Village and services is of vital concern to ensure SOS Florida continues to meet the changing needs of foster children and alumni now and in the future.

Mr. DuVernay‘s experience managing a large nonprofit and his strength as a visionary who can develop and implement a strong strategic plan set him apart from other candidates and provides the leadership necessary to ensure the organization and the children they serve continue to thrive.

Prior to joining the Florida Village, DuVernay was serving as President and CEO of the United Way of Hancock County in Findlay, Ohio. Under his guidance, the organization became a key collaborator and change agent in identifying pressing community needs and designing and implementing effective strategies to address the community’s greatest challenges.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead this already outstanding organization to its next level of service to the people of Broward County and the state of Florida,” said DuVernay.
