How Can You Help The SOS Kids?

Your gifts make childhood special and adulthood possible.Your support changes our children's lives everyday. Since 1993, SOS has helped raise more than 350 boys and girls, 75 of which currently call SOS home. Once alone, neglected, abandoned, and abused, each child has received the nurturing and care needed to discover our greatest gifts...healing, hope, and home.

Approximately half of our funding comes from state dollars. Without the money we raise, our kids would simply have "3 hots and a cot". In other words, they would have a place to sleep, food to eat, and staff person to take care of them.

Your dollars support the vital on-site programs that help us fulfill our mission of empowering foster children to succeed.These programs include tutoring, therapy, life skills classes, case management, a staff nurse and our 18+ After Care program. Together they help our children deal with their emotions, deficiencies in school, improve social skills and behavior as well as prepare for life after foster care.

Your dollars also allow us to provide extracurricular activities such as school field trips, art lessons, music lesson, sports and summer camps, yearbooks and school photos. Each of these activities enables our boys and girls to experience a well-rounded, typical childhood that they have been lacking.

There are so many great ways to make a gift to our children. However big or small, your gift always makes a difference.
