Volunteerism is a great way to make a difference in the lives of our children and help us achieve our mission. Please contact our Director of Volunteers, Brenna Hovatter at bhovatter@sosflorida.com to get you started today.

In life many of us can reflect back to a time where someone impacted our life in a profound way. The guidance that a

young person receives from a mentor can have a lasting

affect on how they see themselves and the world.

Mentoring is a process where the elder passes on

experiences, lessons and information to the

younger. This relationship is special

and important, because it teaches

our youth how to build trust

and gives them a role

model to look up to.

DINNER DATE

Would You Like To Sponsor

A Dinner For One of Our Homes of

Up To 6 Children And A House Parent?

You will be matched with a house

where you will have the opportunity to bring

ingredients to make dinner, treat the house

for a night out at a local favorite restaurant,

or bring gift cards so the house can have a

night off from cooking and order some

take out or drive through.

We provide transportation and

supervision for all activities.

You are welcome and encouraged

to join in this meal and hear

all about the children’s day!

Every child deserves to be celebrated on their special day. This means, gifts, decorations, cake and fun. With a simple act of kindness,

a shiny new toy and birthday cake goes a long way.

INDEPENDENT LIVING

SKILLS CLASSES

Each of the children living at SOS receives formal and informal independent living skills training. In addition to following a curriculum of classes, we try and supplement that with

real-life experience from our volunteers. So if you

are a banker that could teach our teens about

budgeting, or a tailor that wants to teach

a sewing class, we can find the

right opportunity for you.

SPECIAL EVENTS

You are needed to make our events a success!

Our charity events are instrumental in funding our programs. Volunteers help with set up and clean up, raffle ticket sales, auctions spotting.... the list goes on and your help is instrumental in making these events a success.

POWER IN NUMBERS

Working together is a powerful experience. SOS has created a way

for you to organize a group of people to come together to

collectively make a difference. Click both icons to download

the necessary forms and information.
