Volunteerism is an integral part of how we are able to achieve our mission. Due to COVID and the safety of our children, staff, and volunteers, we have had to make adjustments to our volunteer program. Please contact our Director of Volunteers, Brenna Hovatter, at email@example.com
In life many of us can reflect back to a time where someone impacted our life in a profound way. The guidance that a
young person receives from a mentor can have a lasting
affect on how they see themselves and the world.
Mentoring is a process where the elder passes on
experiences, lessons and information to the
younger. This relationship is special
and important, because it teaches
our youth how to build trust
and gives them a role
model to look up to.

A Dinner For One of Our Homes of
Up To 6 Children And A House Parent?
You will be matched with a house
where you will have the opportunity to bring
ingredients to make dinner, treat the house
for a night out at a local favorite restaurant,
or bring gift cards so the house can have a
night off from cooking and order some
take out or drive through.
We provide transportation and
supervision for all activities.
You are welcome and encouraged
to join in this meal and hear
all about the children’s day!
Every child deserves to be celebrated on their special day. This means, gifts, decorations, cake and fun. With a simple act of kindness,
a shiny new toy and birthday cake goes a long way.

MAKE A BIRTHDAY WISH
You can help assure that all of our children have transportation to after school activities, family visits, etc.
If you are interested in being a transportation assistant, you will need to take our online van driver safety training course.
Our transportation needs range from after
school, to nights, to weekends.
Each of the children living at SOS receives formal and informal independent living skills training. In addition to following a curriculum of classes, we try and supplement that with
real-life experience from our volunteers. So if you
are a banker that could teach our teens about
budgeting, or a tailor that wants to teach
a sewing class, we can find the
right opportunity for you.
A PATH TO THE FUTURE
We need volunteers with experience in the areas listed.
We are looking for people to hold classes to help children
develop their talents, life skills and enrichment activities.
Enjoy the wonderful feeling of passing on your
knowledge to our future generations.
