A Letter from Our CEO

Dear Friends,

Fall is a season that reminds us of the importance of community, gratitude and coming together. At SOS Children’s Villages Florida, those values are at the heart of everything we do.

As we look toward the months ahead, I am especially grateful for the remarkable community that continues to stand alongside our children, young adults and families. Your generosity, partnership and belief in our mission make it possible for us to provide not only a safe place to call home, but also the opportunities, relationships and support that help young people thrive.

This fall, we have much to celebrate. Our Grande Ball: An Evening in Noir et Blanc will bring our community together on October 17th for an evening of celebration and purpose, featuring Flo Rida and honoring Lois Marino as our 2026 Children’s Champion (Honoree). We will also come together through our Thanksgiving efforts, Light up the Village, and other events that remind our children and families that they are surrounded by people who care.

I am equally grateful to the foundations, corporations, government partners, donors and volunteers who invest in the work of SOS throughout the year. Your partnership allows us to continue responding to the changing needs of the children and young adults we serve.

As we enter this season of gratitude, thank you for being part of the SOS family. Together, we are creating moments of joy, strengthening families and helping children and young adults see what is possible for their lives.

With gratitude,

Jillian Smath, MSW
